DARE RENTALS · LEGAL

Marketplace Terms

These terms explain how Dare Rentals works for people looking for a vehicle and where responsibility sits with each operator.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Dare Rentals facilitates discovery and contact. At this stage it does not process bookings or payments on the platform.

1. Role of Dare Rentals

Dare Rentals publishes vehicle information, registers availability enquiries and delivers them to the relevant operator before opening WhatsApp. Submitting an enquiry does not create a booking, promise availability or form a rental agreement.

A booking is confirmed only when the customer and operating business directly accept its terms. Except for an official Dare Driver location, Dare Rentals and Dare Driver Pty Ltd are not a party to that rental agreement.

2. Operator types

Each listing identifies one of these relationships:

  • Official Dare Driver Location: a vehicle supplied directly by Dare Driver Pty Ltd; Dare Driver provides the agreement, takes payment and supplies support.
  • Authorised Dare Driver Partner: an independent business authorised to operate under the Dare Driver brand; the legal business named on its page provides the agreement, payment, insurance and support.
  • Verified on Dare Rentals: an independent business retaining its own brand and using Dare Rentals only as a marketplace.

3. What ‘Verified’ means

A verified business or vehicle has passed a manual review against our then-current onboarding requirements and the information or evidence supplied. We may check matters such as ABN, business identity, stated insurance, registration, maintenance, terms and vehicle details.

Verified is not government endorsement, a financial guarantee, a mechanical inspection before every rental, or an ongoing guarantee of conduct, availability or fault-free vehicles. We may suspend or remove the badge if information is no longer valid or standards are not met.

4. Before renting

Customers should review the operating business, vehicle, total price, bond, excess, insurance, kilometres, permitted use, geographic restrictions, cancellation, assistance and return process before signing or paying.

  • Do not send funds to an account different from the one provided by the business identified in the listing.
  • Request a copy of the agreement and a receipt.
  • Check that your licence, age and intended use meet the operator’s requirements.

5. Prices, images and availability

Prices may be weekly or indicative and can depend on use, dates, age, licence, insurance or extras. Images should represent the advertised vehicle or type, but condition and availability must be confirmed directly.

Tell us if you identify inaccurate or misleading information so we can review it.

6. Payments, bonds and rentals

Payments, bonds and refunds are handled directly by the operating business. Dare Rentals does not hold funds or independently decide whether a bond is returned.

The operating business is responsible for its agreements, licences, insurance, maintenance, assistance and obligations to consumers.

7. Problems and complaints

Contact the business named in your agreement first and retain messages, receipts, photos and documents. You may also notify Dare Rentals at daredriveraus@gmail.com so we can review the listing or verification status.

We may facilitate communication or take action on a listing, but we are not a court and do not guarantee resolution of a dispute between a customer and an independent business.

8. Consumer rights

The Australian Consumer Law may give you guarantees and remedies that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Operators cannot replace them with policies such as ‘no refunds’ where the law provides a remedy.

9. Responsible use and liability

Do not use the platform for fraud, harassment, impersonation or unlawful requests. To the extent permitted by law, Dare Rentals is not responsible for the acts, omissions, vehicles or contracts of independent businesses, or for information that changed without being reported to us.

We remain responsible for our own obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms and the verification process. The version published when you use the website applies. Queensland law applies, together with any mandatory rights available to you.
